Diversity of functions
Keeping in synchronisation with the speed and growth of the Angolan economy, Olympic Grupo rapidly diversified and expanded its enterprises; starting with the supply of steel products into other types of construction materials, initially in Luanda and then reaching into provinces.
Eventually the Group started to import finished products to accommodate the needs of certain end users wishing to procure high quality indoor and outdoor furniture, household appliances, generators, mattresses and bespoke aluminium kitchens.
In practice, Olympic Grupo is now able to supply about 80 percent of all the required materials allocated to each construction project (whereas originally, in our capacity as a traditional steel company, only 25% of a construction project is apportioned for steel). This additional service and diversification of products offered by the Group gives an added advantage to the public ahead of all other competitors in Angola. Our customers will gain the ability to negotiate and secure a better package offer on steel and furniture, representing the bones and flesh of any building, plus the added value of dealing with the same familiar faces who took the order of steel. Ultimately, the more the customer orders from us the better the concessions we offer on a wide ranging of products. The company offers many incentives for customers to return, including loyalty cards discount for our most loyal customers.
Olympic Grupo was able to stand its ground in the market and compete with other leading companies that were established a long ago.
The Group intents to expand into the Formal Market (chiefly catering to the construction companies and large governmental projects) along with the Oil & Gas sector in Angola. As the company CEO, Mr. Ali Anis Safa, says, "our mission is to provide the Angolan public with a variety of steel materials and other bespoke products, as supported with internationally recognised certificates on quality, which are requested by the customers".
